In this era herbs were used for cooking, medicine, and aromatic needs. See plants used for stuffing mattresses, curing illness, and even cleaning. 

 Irrigation for the garden

Arron Gagne  (L) of Environmental Solutions points out the features of the water  controller of the irrigation system he installed in the Tate House garden to Barbara Luke and Mark Sengelmann. The system delivers moisture via a drip system underground to all six raised beds, conserving water and discouraging diseases.
